Clothing Recycle Bin

AYC collect old clothing, blankets, material and shoes to recycle.

We bag up everything and in exchange receive payment (paid on weight basis).

Funds received go towards the running costs of the Community Junction.

Black bags are available to collect at the Community Junction for your convenience or just pop your recyclables into The Junction. 

The Community Junction

The Community Junction is a self sustaining project that comprises of a second hand charity shop and holiday let.  Adult volunteers manage the day to day activities when young people are at school, work or college.  The Community Junction is also available to hire. 

Please speak to Cheryl Phelps or any Trustee for more information.  Income from these activities is essential to ensure the building is maintained and activities remain mostly free or at a reduced cost.

In line with the Aldbourne Youth Council constitution, young people are encouraged to help manage the charity shop alongside adult volunteers or youth workers.

Are you 16+ or an adult looking for volunteering opportunities? The Community Junction needs to make enough money to cover the running costs of the venue and create a small sinking fund for maintenance purposes.  Can you help run the charity shop in the daytime or help with a fundraising event?  Or maybe you have a skill to share?  Everyone has a talent - come and share yours or perhaps find it by joining in with one of the many activities on offer!
