Christmas Market
The youth Council and CAN organized a Christmas Market in early December. The market included many stalls with a raffle and even Father Christmas made an appearance.
National Play Day
We held an event to celebrate National Play Day on the football pitch in Aldbourne. We had a climbing wall, BBQ, bouncy castle and more!
Any Questions
We hosted a night where members of the community could quiz the likes of newly elected MP, Claire Perry.
Halloween Disco
The youth of the village were invited to a Halloween Disco night with drinks, sweets and hot food on sale.
Cake and plant stalls
We often have cake stalls in The Square or in the internet cafe to raise money for youth council projects. Val and Alan Watson helped us by providing plants and supervised a stall in the square to help us raise funds for the CAN project.
Youth Band Performance
Wantage silver youth Band performed on the green in the village and we had donations and refreshments on sale that raised over £200!
Alternative Sports Day
We had activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, Mountain Boarding, BMX riding, Kite Boarding, Samba football on our alternative sports day on Palmer's Field, Aldbourne. We even had MP Michael Ancram along to join the rock band and help entertain the crowds!
BMX Training
We held 3 days of BMX training sessions for young people on our very own BMX track.
Jumble Sale
We held a Jumble Sale with the money raised also going to the BMX track project.
Sponsored Bike Ride
We did a 5 mile sponsored bike ride to raise money for a BMX track and youth shelter. Over 30 young people and adults turned up to take part and the event raised over £2000.
